Grand Master Jong Yi

Grandmaster Jong Yi is the founder of Way of Orient Martial arts and holds an 8th degree black belt in both Taekwondo (Kukkiwon certified) and Hapkido ( International Hapkido Federation). He has been teaching martial arts for more than 40 Years and is a 28 year veteran of the united States Army with 8 years of deployment after 09/11/2001. During his military service, he was called upon to teach the US Army Special Forces and the Special forces of both Korea and West Germany. Grandmaster Yi was a presidential bodyguard in South Korea and was also a Korean Champion in Taekwondo (1968).

Grand Master Mark Cox

Grand Master Mark Cox is head instructor for our Krav Maga classes. He is also the owner of America's Best Chatsworth Karate school and America's Best Krav Maga in Simi Valley, and Moorpark. He has an 8th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, 2nd degree Black Belt in Krav Maga and holds a Black Belt in HapKiDo. He is a expert certified Krav Maga instructor and a Deputy Sheriff.

Master Thomas Ball

Master Thomas Ball, Way of the Orient Camarillo owner and master instructor, holds a 5th degree in Hapkido and Taekwondo, with certification by the Kukkiwon. He began his pursuit of martial arts at the age of 12 in Sacramento, CA. Through frequent moves around the country during his youth, Master Ball studied various styles of martial arts including Kenpo, Judo, Tang Soo Do, and Aikido, as well as Hapkido and Taekwondo
Jill Ball

Jill Ball

Jill Ball began her martial arts training in 1996 and currently holds a 2nd Dan in Hapkido & Taekwondo, with certification in the latter by the Kukkiwon. She has been an instructor, as well as the general manager for Way of the Orient for more than a decade. She brings a wealth of experience in working with children as Jill has also been a special education teacher for over 15 years with a teaching credential from CSU Channel Islands.
Brandon Butterfield

Brandon Butterfield

Mr. Butterfield has been a student/instructor in Hapkido and Taekwondo for over 8 years and is also a Krav Maga practitioner. "I started studying martial arts here, not just for the discipline and fitness, but because of the bonds you create. It's funny how many friends you make when you're practicing your punches and kicks... sometimes on each other."

Krav-Fit Instructor, Traci Moore started Krav Maga almost a year ago after trying a few other martial arts styles. She was instantly in love with the combination of getting a really great workout while learning real world self defense techniques. She has been involved in athletics for a long time ranging from Yoga, Palates, Various Boot camps and being an avid marathon runner. " In Krav Fit, my goal is to combine killer strength training practice with adding traditional KravMaga Techniques. My class It is accessible for all fitness levels and we keep it fun!"
